The Katsina State Internal Revenue Service (KTIRS) has pledged its commitment to significantly increasing the state's internally generated revenue. This was announced by the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Isyaku, in a press release signed by the Director of Corporate Communication, Sada Shuaibu.

According to the statement, the Executive Chairman highlighted this assurance following the impressive revenue collection of N2,024,071,573.60 for September 2024. Alhaji Muhammad Isyaku stressed that this achievement would be maintained to ensure the government has adequate funds to carry out people-centered projects across Katsina State.

He attributed the success to the agency’s efforts in curbing revenue leakages and the introduction of a Central Billing System for tax payment, as implemented by the Katsina State Government. The Executive Chairman expressed his appreciation to Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, for his continued support, as well as to the Ministry of Finance, Budget, and other relevant MDAs for their collaboration.

Alhaji Muhammad Isyaku urged the staff of the Revenue Service to remain dedicated in their efforts to achieve the agency’s goals. He also warned against any involvement in fraudulent financial activities, stating that anyone caught would face disciplinary action.
